Suggested Itinerary
Yogyakarta - Mount Bromo - Bondowoso/Banyuwangi
First thing, we will pick you up from your Hotel. From there, we will take you to the train station and you will depart by train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. You will meet the guide for your trip at Surabaya train station. Afterward, we will drive about 2 hours to Sukapura village. Then, we will continue the trip by Jeep (4 WD) to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan, the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30-minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera, and mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mount on Java Island, Mt. Semeru. You will also find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom's history. Next, you can enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant and head to Ijen Crater in Banyuwangi / Bondowoso with a stopover for lunch. Here, you will stay for a night in a hotel.
