Arrival to Quito & City Tour
Welcome to Ecuador! Upon arrival at Quito’s airport, a private driver will meet you for the ride to your hotel in the city center.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore Quito with a guided, private tour and see why it was the first city to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Not only does it have geographical beauty, 17th-century colonial architecture, and distinct culture, but it’s also one of the highest cities in the world at 9,350 feet (2,850 m) above sea level. During the tour, you can visit Baroque La Compañía, a church with a gold-covered interior, and the neoGothic La Basílica. You can also take a walk down La Ronda, one of the oldest streets in the city, or head to Panecillo Hill for skyline views. Feel free to ask your guide for local recommendations along the way, including restaurants, that you can explore after the tour is complete.
