The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most endearing trekking routes as it goes over 5555m from sea level. The journey starts with an enjoyable city tour in Kathmandu. On a short scenic flight, we get to Lukla (2840m), which marks the starting point of the trek. We visit different towns and valleys arrive at Everest Base Camp (5365m) and Kalapathar (5,555m). The distance of the base camp from Lukla is 65km. The trek is a strenuous trekking trail and requires good physical and mental conditions. The beginning of the trail from Lukla to Phakding and Manjo is almost flat. The next day at first is easy but we have to gradient up to get Namche by crossing the highest suspension bridge of the region. Namche Bazaar is the center trading town of the Khumbu region. We visit the headquarter area and Sherpa museum, where we collect knowledge about various Everest expeditions and more. The next day, we follow the trail onwards to Tengboche, a religious place of Buddhism. The monastery of Tengboche comes abuzz for famous festivals like Mani Rimdu, which falls on the 9th month of the Tibetan calendar. The inspiring place gives the views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Kangtega. En route to Everest Base Camp Trek, we will see yak farms, mountain goats, and also Himalayan Thar if we’re lucky. Our journey to Everest Base Camp reaches Dingboche valley. Our second rest and acclimatization day of the trip. To acclimatize and adjust, we hike Nangkartshang peak 5090 m. Nangkartshang peak offers a magnificent view of the Himalayas, Dingboche & Pheriche Valley. Finally, we arrive at Gorakshep via Lobuche. Gorakshep is the last point of the trek. We visit Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep. The following morning, we hike up to Kalapathar (5,555m) and back to Pheriche valley. We continue our trek back down to Lukla via Tengboche, Namche to conclude the Everest Base Camp trek.
