Day 1 Cusco Departure will be from your hotel around 5:00 am and drive to the sacred valley until the community of Racca; on the way we will be able to see the petroglyphs of Pachar and the Inca shrine of Naupa Iglesia, a place where we will have an energizing Yoga session followed by a spiritual ceremony performed by our Shaman. After breakfast, it's a 2-hour uphill hike to the village of Soccma, where lunch is waiting. The second part of your trek is a 3-hour hike uphill to Perolniyoc; which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Cusco with its drop of 328 feet down the rock. We then arrive at Q'orimarca, a beautiful archeological site and spend the night in the surroundings.
Day 2 Qorimarca We wake you up early in the morning with a cup of coffee in your tent and find the perfect place for our Yoga session surrounded by historical buildings and a waterfall. After breakfast, there will be a 4-hour uphill hike to Charkahuaylla (4.450 m/14.599 ft) the highest point of this trek. Once we reach the summit, our guide will perform a traditional offering ceremony to the mountain Apus. We will enjoy lunch at the banks of a beautiful lake and will later start climbing our second and last mountain; Buena Negra (4.370 m/14.300 ft). When we reach the summit, we will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the Sacred Valley making this trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As we continue our downhill hike for 2 more hours to Intipunku (sun gate), this is one of the most breathtaking places overlooking straight to the Veronica mountain, the perfect place for a quick meditation session to connect with nature. Our campsite is just a few minutes down, called Choquetacarpo (3.600 m/11.811 ft) right in the middle of the Inca Quarry Trail.
Day 3 Choquetacarpo When waking up in this extraordinary place while facing the sunrise, makes this day a perfect day- to make it even more unreal you will have the best Yoga session at an extraordinary place facing the biggest mountains of Peru. Today it is all downhill hikes, with our first stop at the Cachiccata Quarry; the biggest Quarry in the Inca empire. This quarry was abandoned together with Machu Picchu and many other Incan sites due to the Spanish invasion. We will stop for lunch and interact with local villagers at the Cachiccata community, where our private bus will be waiting to take us to Ollantaytambo to explore the City and have dinner in a local restaurant. We will later take the train to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night.
Day 4 Machu Picchu (Lost City of the Incas) In our final day, we will get up very early in the morning in order to prepare for Machu Picchu and take the bus. Once we arrive, we will climb to the Upper part of Machu Picchu where we will find a nice quiet place to have a solo time watching the sunrise. Your guide will take you on a 2 to 3-hour comprehensive trip of the city before leaving you in Machu Picchu to explore on your own or climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (must be booked as far in advance as possible). Your guide will explain how to take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the train and bus back to Cusco.
