Poon Hill Ghorepani trek is one the best trekking destinations of Nepal in the Annapurna Himalayan region. The trekking trail covers Kathmandu city tour and Pokhara - a magnificent, dreamy city for travelers. Poon Hill Ghorepani trek is a short trek that can be completed in 10days. It is an easy trek, and anybody can accomplish it.
The trip starts with a day tour in Kathmandu. During the sightseeing, we visit different valuable historical and religious places. Nayapul is the first check post of the trekking route. We need to check our permit to enter.
Along the trail, we see rivers, villages, and valleys. Natural beauty along the path is superb. Terrace field jungle walk always attracts the trekkers.
Ghorepani is a village just a night before Poon Hill. It is the village of the Poon Magar community, and most of the males are joining the British Army. At the museum of Ghorepani, we see the antique equipment. The following morning reaches Poon Hill (2840m). Poon Hill is a popular sunrise viewpoint, from where we can see the superb view of sunrise over the Himalayas. The rewarding views of the Himalayas from Poon Hill always drag the minds. Above the 8000m, Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna First, and Mount Manasulu and other lower peaks Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Dhampus peak, etc. can see from the viewpoint.
A beautiful city Pokhara is the entry and exit town of the entire trek. It is also known as the city of lakes. Phew Lake is the largest and most popular one. The picturesque Island temple, Tal Barahi, drags the attention. David falls, Seti River gorges, caves, the museum is the visiting spot of Pokhara.
