Lima City Tour - Culinary Experience

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, the City Tour begins where Lima is presented in its 3 historical periods: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial, and Modern. We present a panoramic view of "La Huaca Pucllana", visit the imposing Historic Center of Lima: its palaces, mansions, churches, and squares ending with a visit to the residential and financial area of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean in the district of Miraflores.

In the afternoon, we will go to the Surquillo market. Here we will familiarize ourselves with the typical products of the local cuisine. In addition, we will delight our senses with exotic fruits from the Amazon rainforest, such as custard apple, lucuma, aguaymanto or pacae, etc. The next stop will be the cooking workshop, an exclusive establishment, where you will discover how to combine local flavors accompanied and directed by a professional chef and assistant, you will learn how to prepare the options of your choice. After a day of discovering the secrets of Lima's gastronomy, it's time for the food tasting. After the tasting, we work up an appetite and go for a delicious buffet lunch. Transfer to the hotel.

Arrival to Cusco - Cusco City Tour

Early in the morning you will be picked up at your hotel and brought to Lima Airport to take your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival at Cusco, you will be driven to your hotel. In the afternoon, a city tour is on your agenda. You will visit the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), and the nearby ruins: Qenqo (Ceremonial and Ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (this complex was probably used by Emperor Pachacutec as a Tambo), Tambomachay (also called “The Bath of the Inca”) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress (the place where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy take place). After your city tour, you return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day Trip to Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca

Today on the agenda is Rainbow Mountain called in Spanish "Montaña de Colores". We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco very early at 05:30 am to begin our adventure. We head southeast from Cusco passing through Cusipata (at 3,339 masl) before arriving at the hamlet of Llactoc where we can see herds of alpaca and llama and vegetation typical of this area.

Here we begin our walk of approximately 2 ½ hours, walking through beautiful landscapes with snow-capped mountains in the distance, before finally reaching Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca).

We will spend one hour at the top, time to descend approximately 1 ½ hours to return to the same hamlet to take our transport back to Cusipata to enjoy our typical lunch. After lunch, we will return to Cusco at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Cusco - The Sacred Valley

Early in the morning, we will begin our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the popular Pisaq Market, renowned for its quality handicrafts. Lunch in Urubamba, we will enjoy a walk through the fortress of Ollantaytambo. Then we will return to your hotel in Sacred Valley.

Machu Picchu – Huayna Picchu – Cusco

Our transportation will pick you up and take you to Ollantaytambo station where you will start your train ride to Aguas Calientes. Then we will board the bus to Machu Picchu and begin our tour of one of the 7 Wonders of the World, considered a World Heritage Site. A beautiful sanctuary that served as a resting place for the Inca Pachacútec. We will also tour Huayna Picchu Mountain. We will taste our lunch. At the scheduled time, we will return by train to Cusco.

Flight Cusco to Juliaca – Transfer to Puno

Today, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel to take you to Cusco airport for your flight to Inca Manco Cápac airport in the city of Juliaca. Upon arrival, a private 1-hour transfer to the city of Puno where you will check in at your hotel. Free afternoon to explore the city on your own.

Full Day Uros and Taquile Island – Puno

After breakfast, you'll be picked up at your hotel and head to the Puno port, where you'll board a motor boat and set off to explore Lake Titicaca. Sail for 30 minutes to reach Uros, a floating island made entirely out of reeds.

Continue to Taquile Island to visit the famous weavers and enjoy a traditional lunch, before being transferred back in the afternoon to your hotel in Puno.

Puno – Juliaca Airport – Flight back to Lima

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and drop off you at Juliaca airport (located only one hour's drive away from Puno City) for your flight back to Lima. A private driver will be waiting for you at Lima airport to pick you up and take you to your hotel.

Flight to Iquitos – Transfer to Lodge - Amazon Rainforest

The big adventure today will take you on a flight from Lima to Iquitos airport, where you will be picked by our guide to go visit CREA - the largest wildlife rehabilitation center in Iquitos featuring manatees, various monkeys, giant river otters, yellow-spotted turtles, sometimes sloths and macaws, and many other animals. The visit will depend on your time of arrival.

Later on, you will head to Grand Amazon Lodge - An hour and half drive and one-hour boat ride on the Amazon River to reach the lodge where you will be greeted by a jungle refreshment. Settle into your private, river-view bungalow with a bathroom, balcony, and a hammock. 

At night, an optional excursion where you will be taking a boat ride or a night hike to see nocturnal animals such as caimans, bats, frogs, nocturnal birds, and the night monkey.

Wildlife Encounter and Rainforest Exploration

This morning, hike one of our 10 trails and learn about medicinal and indstrial plants. Look for the smallest of the monkeys - the pigmy marmaset, capuchins and the titi monkeys. You are bound to encounter some birds and other creatures like lizards, iguanas, and butterflies.

Later on, you will take a boat ride up the Yanayacu River or explore one of the 10 lakes around us looking for wildlife such as brown capuchins, squirrel monkeys and howler monkeys, and hundreds of species of birds like macaws, toucans, horned screamers, and varieties of kingfishers and hawks. Enjoy a beautiful sunset over Lake Moena.

In the evening, enjoy a boat ride or night hike to search for nocturnal creatures. If you prefer, you can also relax at the canoe bar or in your private bungalow.

Morning Excursion - River Ride - Iquitos Airport – Flight to Lima

On your last day in the Peruvian Amazon, you will take a boat ride to see the Victoria Amazonica - the largest lily in the world, and the Hoatzin birds.

Later this morning, a one-hour boat ride with a chance to see the gray and pink dolphins to San Joaquin, and then an hour and a half car ride back to Iquitos airport, where you will take your flight to Lima airport, from which you will connect with your international departure flight.
