Discover the beautiful hidden waterfalls in Orlias Canyon. Orlias means 'scream' and Elikon river that runs through the canyon took its name after the murder of Orpheus by Mainades. Mainades went to wash out the blood on their hands in order to be propitiated, and in that time Elikon river hid in the earth to escape the insult. Our access is from Dion village by car up until the small chapel of Ag. Konstantinos and after 1-hour hiking we will find ourselves in front of the hidden waterfall! We will have also time to visit Olympus National Park Information Center. The Museum of National Park is set out on several levels providing with information, striking images, static exhibits, illumination boxes, films, multimedia applications, and a three-dimensional projection, to display the multi-faceted Olympus environment at different altitude zones.
