DETAILS

The Galapagos Islands are part of Ecuador and are situated in the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 km from South America. The islands emerged from the bottom of the sea in the form of astonishing volcanic upheavals. The archipelago consists of 19 islands - 13 large and 6 small - and dozens of islets and rocks that dot a vast area that covers 45,000 square kilometers. Thanks to a lack of natural predators, wildlife in the Galapagos has no fear of humans, making the islands one of the world's greatest wonders and a magical destination to visit. Most of the flora and fauna there are endemic, which makes the Galapagos one of the paradises that we can still enjoy on our planet. It is one of the most famous National Parks in the world. But besides the amazing wildlife, we should also mention its extensive white sand beaches with ivory-colored sand, such as Tortuga Bay. Surprises never end in the Galapagos especially when you discover mysterious volcanic lava tunnels, diving areas with attractive colors and shapes, and internationally known prehistoric animals. Another of the wonders of the Galapagos Islands is without a doubt the birds. There are 56 native species of birds of the Galapagos that live on the islands full time; 45 of these are endemic to the archipelago, which means they can't be found anywhere else, and the other 11 are indigenous, which means they do live in other places besides the Galapagos. The islands are also home to 29 species of migrant birds; these are both native and migratory. With a subtropical climate, these beautiful islands burst with natural life. Follow us on this 7-day discovery trip and enjoy the beauty of this amazing natural paradise!
