Day 1 Cusco. A OneSeed staff member will greet you at the airport in Cusco and take you to our partner lodge in the charming historic district of San Blas. The lodge is centrally located and only a few minutes
Day 2 Cusco, Moray, Maras Salt Mines & Chinchero Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for a day of exploring the outskirts of Cusco. Head to Moray on a 90-minute drive with views of the snow-capped Andes peaks, lush fields, and colorful villages. Moray boasts three ancient amphitheater-like terraces made by the Incas. After Moray, head to the Maras Salt Mines (20 minute drive). This village is famous for its salt-producing center (with over 3,000 salt pools) that pre-dates Incan rule. Finally, visit Chinchero where you'll see more Incan ruins. Return to Cusco and rest up for the following day. Peak Altitude: 12,343 (3762 m)
Day 3 Cusco to Santa Maria Depart Cusco at 7:00 am and head to Santa Maria (3 hour bus ride), arriving to the mountain pass of Malaga (14,160 feet). Begin your descent on mountain bikes, passing through small villages, orchards, rivers and streams before reaching the town Huamanmarca about 3 hours later. Meet your driver and travel 30 minutes to the town of Santa Maria where you will have lunch and rest before departing for an afternoon of rafting. Raft down class III and IV rapids for about 2 hours before returning to Santa Maria for some much deserved rest that evening. Peak Altitude: 14,160 ft (4316 m)
Day 4 Santa Maria to Santa Teresa Wake up for an early breakfast before departing for the trail. Pass by coffee plantations, fruit trees, and an abundance of exotic birds and orchids as you walk along the banks of the river. At the highest point, you'll have a view of the valley of the lower Urubamba River. From here, descend about 2.5 hours until arriving at the village of Qellomayo for lunch. After a rest, continue hiking for 3 hours, traversing farms, waterfalls, and rivers before arriving at the Cocalmayo hot springs. After a relaxing bath, walk 40 minutes to the town of Santa Teresa for dinner and rest.

Day 5 Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes In the morning, zip line through the lush forest of the Urubamba River valley. Afterward, take a bus to an area known as the hydroelectric before beginning a 3 hour hike to Aguas Calientes. Stop for lunch along the trail as you pass by a series of waterfalls and admire the majesty of surrounding mountains of Machu Picchu and Huaynapicchu. Explore the historic town of Calientes before meeting at a local restaurant to discuss plans for the next day. Peak Altitude: 6,693 ft (2040 m) Total Hiking: approximately 4.5 miles (7.2 km) / 2-3 hours trekking
Day 6 Machu Picchu to Cusco Awake at 5 am and have a quick breakfast before taking the first bus to Machu Picchu (20 min). The ancient Incan city is best in the morning - free from the crowds and bathed in the soft dawn light. Enjoy a guided tour of the site and have the afternoon to explore on your own. Meet in Aguas Calientes in the afternoon to board a train to Ollantaytambo (2 hours) and then a bus from Ollantaytambo to Cusco (2 hours), arriving by 9:30 pm. Peak Altitude: 7,972 ft (2430 m)
Day 7 International departures Enjoy one last Peruvian coffee and say goodbye to Cusco. OneSeed will provide airport transportation for all international departures. Peak Altitude: 11,155 ft (3400 m)
