Historic villages and castles that defended the nation's borders, schist and granite rock villages, which retain traces of an immemorial, ancient past. People are genuinely welcoming in receiving their visitors with the best they have to offer and there are flavors for every palate to comfort you. Serra da Lousa has some real scenic treasures and monuments and is also a choice location to explore nature by bike. Itinerary

List View

Take some time to explore this beautiful capital, known for its stunning natural light. There’s lots to see in this multicultural metropolis that’s bursting with culture, architecture, charm, great food and a fantastic atmosphere.
Today we begin our riding adventure in Sintra, the Mecca of Mountain Biking in the Greater Lisbon area. In the morning we'll have bike skills training focused on the basic techniques. In the afternoon we'll take on some of Sintra's most epic trails: riding, checking lines and track walk some demanding and technical sections. There's something for everyone, from fast flowing single tracks to technical steep trails, long winding berms, dense oak forests and granite rock gardens.
After being more familiarized with Sintra's trails it's time to have fun. A full day riding with some uplifts and long runs on our trails. Finishing at the beach with the sunset is sure to be an epic end to the day.
Lisbon also has a great trail network - the ''backyard'' as we call it - in the urban forest park named Monsanto: fast flowing single tracks with root sections, drops and fun features like small jumps and berms. It's a place for all levels of riding and packs lots of fun. After a late afternoon in Monsanto we'll lead into the city, whose history spans back thousands of years. We'll find streets filled with heritage and characteristic neneighborhoodshere the city first developed, which can still be experienced at its most genuine level. Influenced by many different remote cultures over time, there is still a village-like feeling in every historical neighborhood, and Fado (awarded World Heritage status) is the most significant expression of what it is to be Portuguese. Lisbon's historic streets are perfect for urban night riding, with lots of stairs and alleyways that will allow you to feel and experience the city with a different perspective. Ride in a castle, visit fantastic viewpoints, stop to eat and drink at all the hot spots, meet fantastic locals and see the wonderful sights.
About four to five hours drive from Sintra, we'll have all day to pass at places such as Nazarre to check some of the biggest waves in the world or the beautiful Porto city and its Porto wine caves. We will arrive at Terras de Bouro on the southwest part of Gerez National Park.
Today we ride for the whole day in Terras de Bouro. Terras de Bouro is integrated with the Peneda-Geres National Park. Next to the baroque city of Braga and only 1 hour away from Porto, Terras de Bouro is one of the best spots in Portugal for pure trail riding, where you get an enormous variety of tracks, suitable for all kinds of riding levels
A second day in Lousa because one is not enough! In the afternoon, we hike and pay a visit to the National Park and some of the most scenic waterfalls and villages.
We'll drive to Porto Airport in about 45m (with huge smiles) after an epic week riding in some of the best trails in Portugal.
