The Algarve region of Portugal boasts scenic castle towns, historic villages, cork trees, hillsides painted with flowers and nationally protected nature reserves. Pristine beaches and wild coastlines house mainland Europe's most southwestern point, Cabo de Sao Vicente. Fresh seafood caught daily by local fishermen, coastal activities, access to nature preserves and many dynamic mountain bike routes are offered by the bounty of the region. Either enjoy fun rides by the coastline over red dirt trails while gazing breathtaking ocean views, or ride along the river and among almond trees that cross through Algarve's typical villages, important monuments of our region's history.

The trails are a mix of easy and technical red dirt single tracks. Some offer rocky tracks with winding turns, but all are framed by great views from the top to surrounding hills and ocean. To sum it up, it's a true All Mountain bike experience. If you are more into challenging and fast descents, you will surely enjoy the trails at Serra do Caldeirao and Fonte Ferrea National Park that are surrounded by Algarve's typical vegetation such as cork, eucalyptus and pine trees. Here you will find a mix of technical and fast flowing single tracks. This area receives the Portuguese Enduro and Downhill series every year.

With unbelievable scenery of the Atlantic Ocean, Serra de Monchique is the highest point in the Algarve, at over 900 meters of altitude. At its peak you will be overwhelmed by the incredible views of the south-west coast of Portugal. Monchique presents us with different tracks and riding levels, from speedy single tracks to challenging technical trails, with lots of rock gardens, roots, cutbacks and natural drops. You will feel completely at one with nature in Monchique, as most of the trails were made by shepherds and their animals' tracks, which preserves the most natural and morphological features that ride past one hundred year old oak trees. After an intense riding day, you can relax and swim in some of the most beautiful beaches in the world or simply enjoy the typical, scrumptous food that is abundant in the region.
