Kalymnos is a world-class sports climbing destination. It's a magical and beautiful place that any climber will soon fall in love with. Why you should join us and why Greece is so special: We bring a professional photographer to capture the amazing moments for you to keep! We keep the climber-to-guide ratio small for this trip with no more than 4 clients to one guide. This trip is great for all levels as there are effortless climbs right next door to more challenging rock climbs at all crags that we visit. Our guides are some of the best in the world and will help you to reach your climbing goals. We will work individually with people to help improve movement and proficiency in climbing. We guarantee that you will climb at least a grade higher by the completion of our week together on the rocks. Heidi and Petch have taught hundreds of people the art of rock climbing. This is the perfect chance to learn to climb in a safe and friendly environment with amazing instructors. We will keep our bodies happy with 3 yoga practices to ease the stiff muscles from our climbing days. It is a great way to meet new like-minded individuals. It's a little more relaxing than our other trips. There's just something about the beauty of the place and the fact that we all have our accommodations with a sea view that seems to cause us to take things a little easier in our downtime. Both couples and individuals will love the beauty and serene atmosphere of this amazing Greek island. Every room views the Aegean Sea from our open-air balcony. You can also walk out your door and down the steps to the beach! There will also be time to explore the island by motorbike, car, or bicycle. Location The Kalymnian landscape is rocky, with rock faces of unique quality for sport climbing, easily accessible within a few minutes walking time from most of the island's settlements and motorways, offering breathtaking views of the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. Today the island has almost 2500 well-equipped sport climbing routes for all climbing levels from easy routes for beginners to extremely hard ones for the experts. The island features a series of easy slabs, technical wall climbs, wild overhanging, and climbs between stalactites. The majority of the routes are single pitch but several multi-pitch routes are available as well. We are staying at the Playa Boutique Hotel, located right on the water and conveniently close to many amazing restaurants, mini marts, and shopping. It is right on Masouri beach and each room has a private deck to enjoy. Each room has a mini fridge and your door opens to a view of Telendos Island and the Mediterranean Sea. We will also be right in the heart of the best climbing in Kalymnos with Kalydna Crag, Poets Crag, and Grande Grotta all within 15 minutes. The people of Kalymnos are genuine, open-handed, warm-hearted people who will try to make your stay unforgettable. Remote beaches, turquoise waters, limestone all around, fresh produce…this island is a paradise. If you like Greek food, you are going to love this trip! This retreat will feature seasonal local produce amazingly prepared in Greek fashion by our lovely hostess. They even make their own olive oil and cure their own olives (of course). We will tour you to the best crags that Kalymnos has to offer and incorporate mindful movement and breathwork into our climbing days. We do recommend that people rent motorbikes or share cars. Due to liability, we cannot rent these for you. You will need an international driving license. 6-night meals are on your own so you can check out the local restaurants. Typically the restaurants are quite affordable. We will plan at least 2 other meals as a group and often the group chooses to eat meals as a group most nights but not mandatory.
