The main ice cave to visit is the Crystal Ice Cave. At times it is inaccessible however and in that case, we will visit another ice cave. During the summer months (April-October), we will go to The Ice Cave Under the Volcano. If it is inaccessible, we will do a glacier hike instead.

Reykjavík – Skaftafel
Visit the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the Skógafoss waterfall, the Reynisfjara black beach, and the village of Vík
The first stop of your tour is the graceful Seljalandsfoss waterfall, south of Reykjavík. You can walk behind it if you want! Continue toward Skógafoss waterfall, at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökul volcano. On a clear day, enjoy the views of the mountain glacier Mýrdalsjokull. Your next visit is the Reynisfjara black beach, with picturesque basalt column formations, and the famous Reynisdrangar peaks. Hop back in the bus and drive through the charming Vík, on your way to your accommodation in the Skaftafell area. Enjoy a quiet evening and, if the conditions allow it, go hunting for the Northern Lights in the countryside close to the Vatnajökull glacier.
