Day 1 Cusco - City Walk Pick up from the airport and then transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon at 13:00 pm we will pick you up from your hotel and start the city walk. Places to see Cathedral Cusco, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Pukapukara. Overnight in Cusco (3* Hotel).
Day 2 Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes We will pick you up from your Cusco hotel around 07:30 am, and then start our adventure. Our first stop after a short drive is El Mirador del Valle Sagrada, the Sacred Valley Lookout Point, for amazing views and photos. After that, we will visit the famous Pisaq Market, where people come down from the Andean villages to sell their textiles and vegetables. We will continue the journey up to the Pisaq Inca Archeological site, located on top of Pisaq Mountain in the Sacred Valley. Our guide will take you to the most impressive spots. Then, we will drive along the valley for about an hour, until we reach Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch (Not Included). After lunch, we will drive to Ollantaytambo, where the second heaviest Inca monoliths are to be found. The ruins have an amazing Temple of the Sun, Moon, and The Temple of the 10 Niches. This living Inca town displays narrow walkways, lined with water channels. Later in the afternoon you will head the train station and catch your train to Aguas Calientes, the journey is just under two hours, descending into the Cloud Forest, where you will see orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Day 3 Machu Picchu - Cusco Today is the highlight of all trips to South America - Machu Picchu! This world-famous site is easily the most remarkable pre-Colombian city in the world, partially because of its mystical beauty at its lofty place among the Andean cloud forest. A guided tour will help you discover and understand what Machu Picchu tells us about the life and customs of the Incan people. Surrounded by dramatic terraces cut into the mountainsides, your guide will give you a thorough history of the ruins and the Incas as well as share with you the possible explanations for the purpose of Machu Picchu. You have the option to take the challenging hike to the top of Huayna Picchu, where you will have the best view of the site. This hike is highly recommended for people who are in the right physical condition, as it truly gives unparalleled views of Machu Picchu. After a long day of exploring this lost city, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival to Cusco, you will be brought back to your hotel for a good night's rest. Overnight in Cusco (3* Hotel).
Day 4 Humantay Lake full-day hike We start early in the morning (around 4:00 am) and your mountain guide and our driver will pick up you from your hotel. The first stop of the day will be at Mollepata to have breakfast and fill us with the energy we'll need to continue our trip up to Soraypampa at 3920m.a.s.l. Here you will have the opportunity to get to know the Sky Camp which is located in front of the majestic snowy Salkantay and Humantay. After a brief rest, we will prepare ourselves to start the trek upwards until we reach the highest point of the trail, on our way crossing wonderful landscapes surrounded by a complex of mountains (1.30 min hike). You will surely be impressed with the panoramic view of seeing the turquoise lake at 4200 masl. / 13779 ft. close to an astounding glacier. After we will return to the Sky Camp where their personnel will be waiting for us with lunch. Our transport will be waiting for us to return to Cusco at 5 pm approximately. Day 5 Transfer Out Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport.
