    Ibex Expeditions

Tapovan in Gangotri is the source of the holy Ganges River. The place can be traced for its sanctity for the Yogis who would travel here & meditate. Through this trek, we live the yogic philosophy of '€˜Jap'€™, meditativeness & 'Tap'€™, discipline. We walk the steps that many yogis have walked before in time, undertaking this journey outside, as we explore the stillness & oneness on our inside.

Through the filters of the philosophy of yoga and every step with awareness, we will have the opportunity to reflect about the places we visit, where we stand in time, what our larger purpose is and where do we aim to reach after all. By understanding the story of the Ganga and its relations to the Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva we take a holy dip in the deep-rooted philosophy of Yoga. We bring in our practice of asanas (physical exercises) and pranayama (breathing regulation) in both its forms of physiological benefits as well as its spiritual meaning. Each one of us in our lives has the desire to feel complete, a sort of wholeness. Come, explore with us!

On arrival at IGI airport in Delhi, you will be met by an Ibex representative and driver who will transfer you to your hotel. Similar to its French counterpart, it commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during World War I. Witness a UNESCO world heritage site, The Humayun’s Tomb and later have your first introductory class with your Yogi. Back at the sprawling lawns of the Claridges we get our first chance to practice Yoga in the evening before dinner. Breakfast at Claridges

Set amidst the serenity of lush flora, a stay at the commodious hotel in Char Dham feels like a ''home away from home'' Dotted with the sacred shrines, the Char Dham yatra gives an insight into the glorious Hindu mythology that carries the most amazing tales of miracles and marvel.
