Day 1 From Oslo to the mountains We meet outside Oslo Opera house at 10 a.m.; the guide will pick you up there. Look for our logo on a minibus. Together you go for a four-hour drive towards the mountains. As you drive, the settlements get smaller, and you will get a glimpse of Norway`s many rural areas. On the way we will stop by Heddal Stave Church, and have a look at the charming old building, this is one of Norway's largest stave churches. Our destination for the day is a mountain cabin located around 1000 meters above sea level called Haukeliseter. Rough and wild nature surrounds Haukeliseter. Norwegians on a mountain holiday highly approve the mountain lodge, and every year Norwegians of every age visit the area. We do a short hike to make sure all the equipment is ready for the next day. Day 3 Up to the eternal ice - glacier walk at Folgefonna From Rosendal we make our way up to Folgefonna and go for a full day walk (4-6 hours) on the glacier. Folgefonna is Norway
Day 4 Preikestolen (The Pulpit rock) On this day we head towards one of the most famous mountain hikes in the whole world, Preikestolen! From the hotel, we will drive (around 4 hours) through the beautiful coastal scenery between Folgefonna and Preikestolen. Tonight, we will rest in the spectacular Preikestolen Mountain Lodge. The new lodge opened in 2008, and have won several prizes for its unique architecture. During the day, it is often a lot of people visiting the plateau. Therefore, we choose to hike in the evening; here we can enjoy the sunset and a meal after most tourists have left this popular destination. The trek to Preikestolen is a four-hour round trip, and the beautiful landscape has resulted in numerous international top rankings. Among these are CNN, who listed the Pulpit Rock on top of the bucket list of natural wonders.
