DETAILS
Kolsay Lakes is one of the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan. These lakes are located at heights 2250 and 2700 meters above sea level. They are distinguished by the unique mountain watershed consisting of three natural zones and an amazing variety of rare plants and animals. Kolsay Lakes is considered a pearl of Northern Tien-Shan and is located 300 km from Almaty city. Lake Kaindy was formed naturally in 1911 in the northern Tien Shan mountains after an earthquake caused an enormous landslide. Due to the shifting of the ground, the landslide formed a natural dam which created the lake. It has a depth of 30 meters. The lake is 400 meters long and sits around 2,000 meters high. The word ‘Kaindy Kul’ means birch tree lake in Kazakh, It’s also a very cold lake. Its highest temperature is only 6C, in the summer. The cold temperature helps keep the trees preserved in the lake. Please note Certificates (advanced divers) are really important since they can confirm the necessary experience and dive hours for this particular dive. The water temperature is around 5 degrees Celsius. The average depth of the dive is 7- 12 meters which require special stamina and oxygen lung capacity. Such a dive is completely not recommended for amateurs because of direct opposition to the famous red sea diving - the main differences are * Dry suite equipment * High altitude diving The height of the lake's locations is 2500 meters above sea level which will transfer directly to human blood pressure and oxygen consumption. We highly recommend weighing in your possibilities and comparing them with your desires and reassuring yourself of being in excellent physical condition. The agreement of your complete responsibility for your own dive is a must. Nobody can guarantee the clearance of water and good visibility. After it rains, the water can be muddy. Price includes: Accommodation in a guesthouse on TWIN / DBL sharing basis (1 night) Meals: day 1: lunch and dinner, day 2: breakfast and lunch.
