Day 3 Kathmandu to Birethanti Travel by private van or jeep to Birethanti, the entrance point for the Annapurna region. The ride can be bumpy along unpaved roads at times but is worth the beautiful views. Plan to be in the car for 8-9 hours before arriving in Birethanti where you will stay for the night. Peak Altitude: 3,362 ft (1025 m)
Day 4 Birethanti to Ulleri The journey begins! Trek past stunning waterfalls as you pass through terraced rice fields. This first day is a tough one. From the trailhead of Birethanti, ascend gradually for 2-3 hrs, stop for lunch, then transverse steep switchbacks to get to the village of Ulleri. Total Hiking: approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) / 5-7 hours trekking Peak Altitude: 6,430 ft (1960 m)
Day 5 Ulleri to Ghorepani Continue your ascent climbing around 3,000ft. You
Day 6 Rest day in Ghorepani. Spend a day in the beautiful village of Ghorepani. You can rest in the village itself or trek 1 hour to Poon Hill, one of the best vantage points for taking in the Himalayan dawn and enjoying the view of the mountains. Total Hiking (optional): approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) / 1-hour trekking Peak Altitude: 10,531 ft (3206 m)
Day 7 Ghorepani to Ghandruk Begin your gradual descent from Ghorepani. Ascend for two hours, stop for tea at Deurali, then descend to Ghandruk enjoying the picturesque waterfalls along the way. Ghandruk is one of the most famous Gurung villages in Nepal, renowned for its natural beauty and terraced fields that open up to views of the surrounding peaks. Total Hiking: approximately 8.5 miles (13.6 km) / 7-8 hours trekking Peak Altitude: 6,365 ft (1940 m)
Day 8 Ghandruk to Tolka Walk through pristine forests and move into the alpine region where you reach the village of Tolka for the night. Total Hiking: approximately 6.5 miles (10.4 km) / 5-6 hours trekking Peak Altitude: 5,577 ft (1700 m)
Day 9 Tolka to Pokhara Continue south for your last day on the trail. Catch a ride back to Pokhara (1.5 hours) in the afternoon from the village of Kande. Enjoy dinner on your own in Pokhara as you celebrate the completion of your trek! Total Hiking: approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) / 4 hours trekking Peak Altitude: 5,577 ft (1700 m)
Day 10 Pokhara Spend a day exploring Pokhara on your own. Visit local stupas, shop for souvenirs, or hire a boat to take you to Tal Barahi, a temple that sits on a small island in Phewa Lake. For anyone interested in Nepal
