Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to your hotel Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and safari guide for a transfer to your reserved hotel in Entebbe. The 10 days game viewing combined with gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari briefing will be done right before dinner at the hotel where you will be spending the night. The next early morning we begin this adventurous safari you have all been preparing for.
Day 2 Kampala City – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Transfer to Murchison falls national park- Top of the falls After breakfast, we begin the panoramic drive northwest through the famous Luwero Triangle, en -route stop to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the only place where you can meet these members of the big five families in the wilderness, this visit will provide you with an opportunity to go closer to these peaceful giants to have a clearer view and photo moment. Later proceed to Masindi Town for lunch and later drive to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at the top of the falls to see the world’s most powerful falls. Dinner and overnight
Day 3 Murchison falls NP – Morning game drive - Afternoon boat cruise Enjoy breakfast and head out for a morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot elephants, lions, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffes, hartebeest, waterbucks, oribi, bushbucks, bohor reed bucks, hyenas and if you are lucky, the leopard. Retire for a lunch break and later go for an afternoon boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just a few meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’. Marvel at the toothsome hippos, home of crocodiles, and over the 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck,s and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many bird species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, horn bill, cormorant and the rare shoe bill stork and you might also meet the lake shore hunters. After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Murchison falls national park –Transfer to Kibale forest national park – Evening nature walk to Bigodi swamp After breakfast and check-out, we drive to Kibale Forest National. The estimated transit time is 7 hours with frequent stops to stretch legs. The drive takes you through little towns and villages as you observe the African rhythm of life. On arrival, check in to your preferred accommodation to relax and later go for an evening nature walk to Bigodi sanctuary nature walk. Kibale forest national park is proudly known to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, our closest relative. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, and Olive baboon to mention but a few. Day 5 Kibale National Park - Morning Chimp Trekking - Queen Elizabeth National Park Have breakfast then transfer to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for the briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, lhoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps, return to the lodge for refreshments lunch and start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the park is nestled between two lakes, George and Edward with the kazinga channel joining the two, its lush Savannah offers prime grazing ground for the African buffaloes, African elephants and various antelopes, the parks hosts over 600 bird species. Drive straight to the lodge check-in and go on an evening nature walks to explore the crater lakes. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 6 Queen Elizabeth N.P – Morning game through Ishasha sector – Transfer Bwindi National Park – Village walk Wake up for breakfast before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas with a game drive through Ishasha sector to search for the amazing tree-climbing lions. After collecting memories here, we continue our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for the thrilling mountain gorilla experience, Arrive to check in, relax and you may go for an evening village walk or souvenir shopping in the local craft shops if time allows. Dinner and overnight
Day 7 Queen Elizabeth N.P – Morning game through Ishasha sector – Transfer Bwindi National Park – Village walk Wake up for breakfast before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas with a game drive through the Ishasha sector to search for the amazing tree-climbing lions. Day 8 Bwindi National Park – Morning gorilla trekking –Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Evening canoeing After a 06:45 am breakfast, head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long-awaited trek. Gorilla trekking may last only for 3 hours or up to 8 hours or more with sometimes rain overhead so be prepared with sturdy hiking boots and a waterproof jacket. After a satisfactory trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved hot shower and lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for evening canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 9 Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park – Night game drive After breakfast with great memories of the mountain gorillas, we depart from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, as well as zebra, topi, impala, and several acacia-associated birds. On arrival at the park, we enjoy the drive en route to the overnight accommodation. Wildlife here includes the elusive leopard, jackals, hyenas, zebra, and the newly introduced giraffes among others. Drive straight to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the evening, go for an amazing game drive in search of the wildlife of the park. Dinner and overnight
Day 10 Lake Mburo N.P – Walking Safari – Entebbe international airport Wake up for breakfast before going out on a walking safari for 2 hours in the park accompanied by an armed ranger. You get the opportunity to get closer to the inhabitants of the park and photo moment. We then drive to Entebbe with a stopover at Kayabwe equator point for the water experience, buy souvenirs and have lunch. We later drive straight to Kampala airport
