We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am in our private vehicle to begin the journey to the charming village of Pukarumi, nestled in the heart of the majestic Ausangate Mountain. You’ll enjoy stunning views along the three-hour drive. Upon arrival, a delicious and energizing breakfast, prepared by a high-mountain chef, will be ready for you. You’ll also meet the trekking team, which includes cooks and muleteers.
After breakfast, we’ll start an upward hike toward the northeastern part of the impressive Ausangate Mountain, passing cultivated fields and traditional homes in the Ausangate community. After a three-hour hike, we’ll reach the Ausangate viewpoint, where you can take in panoramic views of the entire glacial mountain range, including Ausangate, Qayangate, and Qolque Cruz, located in the Ausangate Regional Conservation Area. We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch along the way.
In the afternoon, we continue with a two-hour hike to Upis camp at 4,400 meters / 14,435.7 feet. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy tea before dinner. At night, our campsite becomes a sacred haven in the Andes. Surrounded by the mystique of Ausangate, we’ll sleep under a blanket of stars—an unforgettable experience!
