DETAILS
Get on the world's northernmost tram, and travel 8.8 km on narrow tracks from the center of Trondheim out into the suburbs and then take the bus for the last stretch to Lian. The tram goes to Lian and has been operating since 1924, and the carriage you are sitting in is from the 1950s. The tram passes some of the many colorful wooden houses in Trondheim and the remains of the city wall. Join us up in the hills and into the urban countryside with the world's northernmost tram line. In the past, the tram took the inhabitants from the industrial city and up to fresh air and recreation in nature. And it still does. The line is popular both summer and winter as a starting point for outdoor activities. The last stretch to and from the ship is by bus. On the way, there will be a photo stop at Nidaros Cathedral, where you can see Norway's national shrine and one of Northern Europe's largest cathedrals from the outside. The west wall features 76 stone statues and the rose window, a stained glass window that is eight meters in diameter. Direction: Northbound Disembarkation port: Trondheim Embarkation port: Trondheim Time: 09:45 - 12:30 Level: 1-2 (Read more) not suitable for wheelchair users Season: All year around
