A day with Khalanga Safaris You awake at sunrise, as the birds start singing and you get ready for your morning safari. Your guide is already up and is waiting for you with some hot tea and coffee; and with some traditional South African biscuits. As you savor your drink and snack, you take in the fresh morning air and enjoy the peace and quiet of the early hours in the African bush. You will be on one of the first vehicles leaving the camp as gates open in the morning, with the privilege of exploring the gravel and tar roads before anyone else. As the morning sun reveals the signs of what’s been happening at night, you may find out whether there was a successful hunt or any other events that might elude day visitors who will reach this area of the park much later in the day; when the excitement of the early morning has long passed. Later, your guide will prepare a hot breakfast for you, and then we will continue our drive until the sun is already high in the sky and it’s time for a lunch break, siesta in your cool tent or dip in the pool back at camp. In the afternoon, we will continue with our safari and spend some time on the roads surrounding the camp in search of more animal sightings. Upon return to the camp, enjoy some sundowner drinks and relax while your chef prepares dinner for you. You will use this time to debrief with your safari guide and relive the most exciting moments of your game drive. After dinner, you can walk around the camp or have a drink at the camp bar, before retiring to your room and getting some rest before the next day full of adventure and new experiences in the bush. Price includes: Accommodation for 5 nights (fully equipped and hosted safari tent) at one of the Kruger National Park Rest Camps Meals: Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 1 sundowner, 1 welcome drink). Private transfer (at an extra cost) allows different pick up locations and different time schedules. Departure is at 07.45 am on Day 1 and return to OR Tambo on the last day is scheduled for 18.00 pm. Activities: Twice daily game drives, ca 7 hours in total per day.
