Khalanga Safaris is a small, family-run tour operator founded in 2016 by local guide Shoes Mathebula after 20 years of working as a tracker, guide and field ranger in and around Kruger Park. Shoes is now applying his passion for nature, tourism and guiding to his own business. He has created a tourism experience that has garnered national attention (2018 Provincial Lilizela Award Winner - best tour operator) and outstanding reviews across many booking and rating platforms. Shoes is leading Khalanga Safaris as a Business Director and an Operational Manager and Head Guide.
