Mount Kilimanjaro stands almost 6000 meters above sea level, but one does not need to be an experienced mountain climber to reach its peak but moderately fit. To climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro, you need to be in a fit and healthy state with a good all-round condition, strong will power– we will do the rest. Before you ascend on your trekking adventure, you will meet with our Trekking Operations Manager for a briefing. Route, safety procedures and health issues will be discussed in detail and you have enough time to ask any remaining questions. Your trekking gear will be inspected to ensure that you have everything you need to be safe and comfortable. During your climb, you only carry your backpack with essentials such as water for the day's hike. The Machame route, also known as the "Whiskey" route, is the most popular route on Kilimanjaro. Machame's draw is in its scenic beauty. However, the trail is considered difficult, steep and challenging, particularly due to its shorter itinerary. Therefore this route is better suited for more adventurous folks or those with some high altitude, hiking or backpacking experience.
