Fly Addis Ababa to Semera and Drive to Danakil Depression
Fly to Semera & start the trip
You'll arrive at Semera and drive to the volcano —it takes about 4 hours. You will visit Erta Ale, one of the most active volcanoes. You will camp some distance away from the volcano.
The trek to the volcano takes about 30 minutes, so you need to bring trekking shoes, a torchlight, and a mask.
